Producer

The backyard apiary produces natural, raw honey, HoodHiveHoney. Our honey goes from hive, to extractor, through a filter (to remove excess wax and bee parts), and then straight into a bottle for labeling and sale. Products made from honey and the bee hives are also made. These include soaps, tart melts, and lip balm, just to name a few. The Brave Rooster strives to keep the honeybee alive and well and to educate those with whom we meet.

We do not use pesticides in our yard and have encouraged our neighbors to do the same. Our honey is an all natural product and we only use high quality products in the fabrication of our other items for sale. The Brave Rooster maintains the hives in a manner which is consistent with current bee keeping practices.
